- Administer the student health program and oversee medical care for students.
- Provide training during staff training sessions in emergency response and basic First Aid.
- Educate the school community on good health practices and First Aid care.
- Administer routine first aid treatment to students, staff, and school employees.
- Consult with ill students during school hours and coordinate additional medical care as needed.
- Maintain and update medical records for students, including immunization records.
- Assemble and schedule a medical team for all school events, including sporting events.
- Conduct, liaison, and document annual screenings.
- Administer student medications as required and prepare first aid kits for sports teams and off-campus trips.
- Ensure AED batteries are charged and compliant with standards.
- Ensure AEDs are present at off-campus sporting events if appropriate.
- Ensure the process is in place for EPI pens to be present at all off-campus trips and events for students.
- Recommend improvements to the school health program as needed.
- Accountable to school leadership.
